Question

Veda prohibits the idol worship but most of the people goes against it coz they dont want to explore the truth and they follow their ancestors path. Comeon guys come out of your ego and explore the truth coz everybody are blind about their own religion and keep peeping into others religion. Think universally and try to read truth not stories which are just human imagination nothing else. A human knowledge is finite and The Creator's (God) knowledge is infinite you cant shape him into a Idol.

If you need an idol to worship God, then you don't have an ounce of faith. Faith is worshiping something you cannot see, but you know in your heart it is there. I believe, and I see it every day, that people no longer remember God. They pray to the Virgin Mary or Saint George etc. But the first commandment firmly states, You shall not have any other Gods, other than me.
Jesus himself continuously told people to worship only the father.
Then again, if you are not Christian, then you can worship anything you like if it makes you happy. It is your right.

Human makes Idols and GOD makes Human. Everybody agree 2 this, right then praise God not ur handmade idols?

Do you believe in God ?
If yes, then tell me if you have seen the God.
I am sure that your answer will be negative.
Still you feel that there is ‘GOD’. Is’nt it ?

So by ‘God’, everybody means some super power, an almighty, which governs the whole world, whole universe and the whole system existing around us.

Right from the encient sages to the modernest humanbeing, nobody has given definite profile of ‘God’, as how he/she looks.

So one thing is clear that the socalled ‘GOD’, exists and he makes Humans. You will agree that a Human is the most intelligent creation of the ‘God because only a Human has a very big mind , a developed brain and a well designed Body. But the body is made of the ‘Panch mahabhuta’, i.e. the five elements -the Vayu, the agni, the earth, the water and the atma.

Without the essence the ‘ATMA’, all other tatvas are perishable. And without Atma, the other tatvas have no meaning for a body because without Atma, body is a dead body.


So the God made this wonderful human with brain, imaginations etc.etc. but never shown himself. This poor humanbeing then started finding more and moreabout this ‘God’. This created many phylosophisies, ways of living, ways of worshipping, ways of reaching that’God’.

This human created certain means to reach that almighty God by meditation, worship, Bhajan etc. etc. So to concentrate mind he created certain images , which resembled his own image but with many super natural powers in it- which he thought, could be performed by that ‘God’ only.

I think, that is how the Idols were created and then this human thought some ways of living which he thought would help him live a ‘Satvik’ life or a religious life, . To keep his soul, mind and body holy, he performed certain rituals, rites, prayers etc.

Ultimately in this process, all the Idols, all the religions , all the sects and sections of ‘God’ were evolved and this is continuing till date, as we see it.

But to all of us ,one strong belief that the Super power, the God, exists somewhere, in some form within this Universe is definite.

So what difference it makes to anyone worshipping Idols, praying in West, east, north or south, or by any other means. The basicsense remains the same, i.e. search of the God, the “Paramatma”.

So let everybody search HIM in his own way, Goal is same, only ways are different.

Ans 2: "Just like you are writing English without fulling studying English grammar or without following all the grammar rules to be followed in English, and also making a lot of errors, people also don't necessarily read their religious books fully or follow them regardless of their regilion!"

Ans3. "It is a really good thing if everyone could control their egos easily, but believe me "everyone" is first of all not following religion, since this world has millions of atheists. The second thing is just because you are blind about your religion, not necessarily are others like that....lots of people including those who belong to your religion have an open perspective! When you are not wearing any dress at all, don't laugh at your friend because he is not wearing his shirt."

Yes! We can't shape the GOD into an Idol, but one thing is to be clarify with this is, we cant take the food as it is when the crops are grown up. We do something it to take in a way which we like it. Why we cant take the food as it is means, we cant bear the thing in its original form. So we brings that in to some shape and then we are having. In the same manner when a man stands before an Idol of his almighty, even he knew the thing that GOD is not an Idol, he can bear, he can here what ever told by GOD. The thing is that, If a man wants to pray something above to him(let's say GOD), he is imagining GOD as a human being, If a fish wants to pray for some thing above to her, its too do same. In the same way, man only accepts the things when he heard "some one is watching his activities".

This depends on individuals perception. Religion is learning process for evolution. Then gradually switched over to spiritual orbit. I feel for learning Vedas/memorise vedas it may takes 14 to 16 years of child hood. Here vuccharana(pronunciation), the sound is most important for any aspitant to attain the desired result. I do not think that Veda prohibits the idol worship. An artist can visualise the picture even without actually drawing it on a paper. Also he can read a lot from his modern art. But,without detailed explanation I can not read the same. Vessel is required for cooking food and idol is necessary for worship. People who do not believe in GOD believes in Vedas. Idol worship is not a dead wood or dead end. It is continuous process for any individuals reformation. Thank you. O.K.

Yes i agree with the point that one must prase only God not handmade idols bcoz as everyone knows that God is great! God has created human beings and if human beings are making idols then its just a illusions created by them not the reality.So one must know the fact and truth of life that nothing is beyond God.

God is the creater of all creations. he is present with all living and nonliving organs and elements . what we do it is with his direction and inspiration . a man can not put a foot step without his Mercy. self surrender is the best solution for it . if a man completely surrenders to god then what good or bad nothing to be accounted for.may be the idol or the human it is all his creation man may made idols or any thing it is all with him so, god is the praiseworthy of all positive or negative results. we Can not claim that god has not made this only man made . it will be absolutely wrong if we Say man made idols ultimately everything comes under one control one creator it is He who is He. the almighty. Personally, I think it'd just be better if everybody ventured for themselves and found their own paths. I know that God is our creator and that our knowledge on life is nothing compared to what his is, but humans are determined people and we're all going to end up making mistakes and doing whatever we want in the long run anyways. Sometimes it just takes a wall for people to realize what the truth is and it DOESNT help when they just hear others preach... Everyone has to learn for himself.
