For GOD'S SAKE! The motto of our nation is "In God we trust."

Since they don't trust God, they should leave this country. Now.

Do deists deserve to live in America?

Living in this country is a blessing that nobody "deserves". Some are just more grateful for their blessings than others, I guess.

As a non-Christian (I am a pagan) I actually agree that non-Christians should have the opportunity to leave the US. Unfortunately, the proceedure for renouncing ones citizenship and immigrating to another country is so tangled up in beurocracy and red-tape that most can't meet the requirements to be allowed to leave. Whether or not one wants to leave, there is a good chance that they won't be able to. I have been trying to get out for over 30 years. First I was too young, then I was too broke, now I have a felony criminal record which is an automatic disqualification.

The best solution would be for the US to find some little piece of land somewhere outside of the US let all the non-Christians, and various other alternative groups, that want to leave, regardless of circumstance, do so and set up their own new country where we can live and where Christians won't have to have any dealing with us if they don't want to.

Why? I have religious freedom. That includes having no religion. When did the motto become "In God We Trust"? I only see that on money. Oh now I see. You're a complete idiot who didn't pay attention in school. Why don't you try flying off a cliff and see if your god gives you wings on the way down?

um, last time i checked, this country was founded on a belief of freedom of religion, and that includes lack of religion. and btw, that's not the motto of our nation, that's just a quote printed on our money. we are actually the "melting pot" of the world, meaning that we have people from all different cultures and walks of life. on another note, it's not that atheists "don't trust god", they simply don't believe in it's existance, therefore they can't trust something that's a figment of one's imagination.

I'm a christian but I have no right to tell someone what they can do all I can do is preach the word of God and hope they change their ways but other than that it's a free country so they can live here as long as they want.

I think that you are being unfair to Atheists. There is a very serious argument that God Cannot Exist using sound logical reasoning. I myself do not agree but I cannot abide simply tossing all Atheists into the group of those choosing to not believe in God.

...... no, no its not. Thats whats on your money. The actual motto is "E Pluribus Unum" which means "Out of many, one". In god we trust was added against the constitution in 1956 during the cold war.

Btw, reported for baiting and trolling because no one has to leave the country. the US is about freedom for all, its not about freedom only for Christians.

You need to learn your history. The only person you have to blame for your ignorance is yourself.

In God We Trust was a reaction to communism during the Cold War (Mc Carthy era)...

Woa, wonder how many times I said this?

Motto: E Pluribus Unum ("Out Of Many, One")

And telling us to get out of this country doesn't make America a country of freedom anymore

I'm overjoyed at your deep felt expression of Christian love etc. What happened to love thy enemy. turn the other cheek, he who is without sin cast the first stone, etc... Your god or Jesus sound more like Attila the Hun.
You should check out your history too. The founding fathers of the nation were atheists like Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin.
