nanita can either mean babysitter, or grandma

It means grandmother, babysitter, or lullabye. It's derived from nana. Nanita is the diminutive form which is like saying little grandmother, little babysitter, little lullabye. But it's meant as a form of friendship and closeness like amorcito/amorcita: little love.

more spanglish than actual dialect when it's talking about a little grandmother.

Kind of a different way of saying babysitter
