I know this woman whom I like and we share many of the same values, except I am not a Catholic. I consider myself to be spiritually independent believing in a higher power, sense of morality, etc. In any case, long story short, because we do not share the same religious belief she is closed to any romantic possibilities.
I'm curious as to what other Catholics think about this and if this would be an obstacle for them if they knew a non Catholic they had feelings for.

What I forgot to mention is that she is what I'd call a super catholic in that she is extremely zealous about her faith. I met her through pro-life work. Yes, non-Christians can be pro-life. Usually strong pro-life Catholics are more into their faith which has caused a strange conflict in that we relate about politics and some spiritual ideas. But some of the spiritual ideas she is attached to we have big differences about.
