I noticed a horrible pain the other day when I tilted my head to the right. It is in my neck, right next to my throat on the left side. It also feels like it is in my jaw and when I press on it, I get a pain all through my head. Currently I have what feels like a headache and slight nausea, what can it be?

Get your heart checked immediately. These are symptoms to worry about.

It sounds like Trigeminal Neuralgia or TMJ. The Trigeminal nerve has branches which run though the jaw, neck and face.

It could also be a subluxation (misalignment) of your vertebrae, especially those below your atlas. The fact that it hurts on the opposite side when you tilt your head is a clear indication of a misalignment, most likely between C5 and C7.

I highly recommend seeing a chiropractor, one who specializes in atlas adjustments and TMJ.

Oooh... I was going to say I get the same pain the next day after I've been clenching my teeth at night, but the nausea thing threw me off. If pain persists for more than 2-3 days I'd go to the doc.

sounds like tmj. Research it and avoid clenching your teeth or opening your mouth really wide, like when you yawn.

it could be swollen lymph-nodes or tmj.. either way if it's been a few days it's time to go to the doctor.
