I had kidney surgery a month ago, I forgot to ask my doc if I could take a bath. I was wondering what the average wait time was?

Not bathe, take a bath. I shower, just not take a bath.

Usually you don't take a bath until the staple/sutures are taken out. Call your docs office and ask his nurse about this.

Don't tell me you've waited a month to bathe. Call the doctor and get an expert opinion not guesses from us.

Call your doctor. It's worth it to prevent that kind of infection. But, usually after the stitches are removed. When I had surgery, they told me to wait two weeks. Of course mine wasn't as extensive as your surgery.

I recently had surgery and they told me to wait for 2 weeks. Usually by that time the insision is closed up. You should still call your doctor and ask him/her.
