much of that is part of being in a pseudo-home. she misses her father and resents pseudo-dad. reassure her. do not talk evilly about her real dad. allow her father to help with her care, if possible.

Is it possible that something has happened between your daughter and your boyfriend, it sounds to me like she is afraid of him. The fact that she always wants to be near you is concerning if this was not how she was prior to him moving in. If it were my daughter I would wonder if he had hurt her or molested her or something. Hopefully that is not the case, but I would get her check out by a doctor.

It sounds like your daughter is very young - when they are completely prone to changing their mind from minute to minute.

first of all, you need to make completely sure that he is not mistreating or abusing her in any way

If he is not doing anything to her, she could just be really jealous of the fact that she doesn't have you all to herself anymore. Try to reason with her and talk about it as much as you can.

If she doesn't start responding or start growing out of it, talk to her pediatrician to see if they have advice or can send you to someone who can help.

She may just be going through a clingy phase.
