We moved from Florida to Arkansas and had some discouraging moments here. Its very nice country though the mud and snow can create problems. Not looking for a pick-up truck. Any ideas?

That's easy. Best bang for the buck I feel is the Geo Tracker or the Suzuki Samurai or the Suzuki X90. They are greatly affordable and have developed a great reputation of reliability and with great fuel savings. And if you want something a little big bigger then there's the KIA Sportage.

Well why not get a SUV that either has AWD or 4x4. Jeep makes a great 4x4 and they have a wide variety of price ranges. If you want you could get a H3 but they are a little pricy and can do everything a jeep can. Most SUVs have the option of being 4x4 so really all that is left is choosing what looks best and fits your budget.

A Saturn S-series with traction control. I have one and it will go anywhere one of those idiotic SUVs will go, with about half the fuel consumption.
