they keep writing the creditors telling them that your iteams are not supposed to be there i think? but does that work?

There is more to it than that. You have to know how to use the 340 different laws contained in the fair credit reporting act. When they write those letters, they are using their expertise in credit repair and knowledge of the law to get the credit reporting agencies to remove the items according to the law. Lexington Law is a good firm. But they are far from the best. Very far.

Go online to experian credit and get a credit report, you can dispute items on there. I did and got 3 thing completely "deleted" off my credit report. If it is your debt, however, it will be harder to get it taken off. I am paying payments on a phone bill that was fraudulently put in my name, $560.00, it is showing as a negative, even though I am making $0.00 a month payments voluntarily on it. My credit score went from 660 (not too good- I know) to 571! I was P*ssed!
