Do you think we should have to learn about the Evolution in skool. I don't beleive we come from a monkey or whatever it is but our teachers in my city are trying to make it to where we can't give our opinions on it and that is really rude because that tells me that teachers are trying to put things in our heads that we don't agree with and that we'll have to deal with it. and if you haven't figured out already I'm a christian so that makes me angry that I can't tell what I believe because that would be wrong for people because not everyone believes in that but we should believe we come from a MONKEY!!!!! That'z soooooooo wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason I'm telling you this iz because on the first day of school my teacher asked us "Where do you come from?". When someone answered Adam and Eve or Noah she said that if we said that again we would get a D.R. (discepline referal). Then she said that we came from a monkey and that we all should believe in that and that only. That is why I'm asking this because when she said that it was like a slap in my face.

I agree with you that IF they are going to teach theory in school, they should teach many different theories instead of just the one. The problem is that the schools are state funded and ALL the governments belong to Satan (remember, he offered them all to Jesus if he would do just one act of worship to him). Satan does not want you to know anything about God, let alone the fact that God is responsible for all good things--even if they do teach it as a theory instead of the fact that we know it is. Soon, Satan's rulership on earth will be ended and you won't even have school as you now know it. Keep praying and hoping in God. It is his promise of freedom from sin and death. May God bless all your efforts to remain faithful.

First, you didn't come from a monkey and evolution doesn't say you did. You did evolve from cave men who evolved from even more primitive men who evolved from creatures that are primitive enough that you can't really call them men anymore. If you go far enough back, one of those creatures also started evolving into monkeys.
You look and act differently than monkeys because humans evolved in a different ecological niche so we developed the capabilities to do different things.
Think of it this way, you wouldn't say a Great Dane evolved from a Chihuahua or that a Chihuahua evolved from a Great Dane but you would say that both evolved from a Wolf.
Also, you can still believe in god and believe in evolution. Even Charles Darwin did. Some Christian churches have even said that evolution is possible or probably. It may be that god uses evolution to create things. After all, god does use everyday things in his miracles. Jesus fed the 5000 with fish, not manna from heaven. While atheists might believe that evolution is directed by natural selection, some key changes might have been directed by god to make the world what he wanted the world to be.

You need to treat evolution just as you do the religions of other faiths than Christianity. Evolution is the faith of the scientists. I believe that evolution actually takes more faith to believe than God does. We need to have the attitude that we learn what others believe so that we can teach them the truth. We need to know the enemies of truth. If you learn evolution in school it will be easier to refute them with the Bible.
I was raised in a Christian school all my life and was never exposed to evolution as a child. This has made it harder for me to learn it later in life. College textbooks in the secular world expect you to know all about it before you get to college level. So learn what you have to while you are young, it will help you understand where they are coming from. Don't loose faith.
God Bless
Keep believing.

What you should do is first be respectful to your teachers. When you have a test, give the answer they want you to give. An example, You may admit on a test that the school teachers we evolved from a monkey, and give them the reasons they want. But after writing that, you write that you disagree with their theory, and that you believe that God created man in His image. That way, you give the school the answer they want, but you also give them your viewpoint.

I do believe it should be a choice. Schools here in my town gives students the choice what to study.. In fact, one of our elementary schools teaches the Bible as a choice because it IS part of history....
My daughter is a school teacher and each morning a few kids stand out in the hall while the Pledge is recited because their religion does not allow them to say 'One Nation Under God' and it works well...

Evolution is taught in science classes in schools because it is backed up with a mountain of evidence. What you "believe" is not science.
You may feel angry at having to listen to evolution and the mountain of evidence because it goes against your beliefs. That is understandable, it follows the theory of cognitive dissonance. You can tell people of your "beliefs" in church. And the science teacher will tell you of evolution in class.

How do you know it's wrong if you won't consider the argument on which it is grounded? Is this how you approach other school subjects? "I don't agree with calculus, yet these wicked teachers are telling us about it in school? I don't agree with learning about Portugal because I don't agree with it? I don't agree with learning about road safety, first aid, how to play the piano" etc?
Are you telling us that you came fully formed with all the answers to everything? or that you're just too stupid to use a decent education?
And if I was Lord Jesus I'd shake my weary head at how difficult it was to find better quality servants ...

First off, to you crazy creationists( by the way, im a methodist and i believe in evolution) out there, evolution is much more than "monkeys morphed into humans". And second off, they should be able to teach evolution. Maybe when youre older you'll think for yourself. To your second statement, what your teacher said is wrong. You can think anything you want.

Yes. AND WE DON'T COME FROM MONKEYS. You really need to listen to what they are teaching a little more. As soon as you say that it is a giant banner saying "I have no idea what I am even argueing against." Science is about evidence and not opinions.
