to me its just another day for people who have lovers to rub it in another person's face who is single. i don't hate it its just it gets old after a while. you can have valentines day anyday with someone you love. you don't need a special day to celebrate being in love. i have nothing against any of this i just need to see who agree's with me?

i have a b/f and he sent me two dozens of roses to my school monday and two box of chocolates. he is very sweet but you shouldn't have to spend all your money on candy and flowers to show someone you love them thats all i'm saying. i've been with my b/f for 3yrs.

You need to blame Hallmark Cards for this because they are the ones that came up with this fabulous idea:)))

Hallmark, FTD, Pangburns, etc. Say it has to be a big deal. IF not for you then you are an old stick in the mud. Spend, spend, spend. Just like Christmas. Spend yourself into debt or be an old Scrooge. Mother's day the same. It is never ending. So one must take a stand. No more new holidays from Hallmark.

The card and candy companies started it as a marketing campaign that got out of control.

if you were with someone you wouldn't be saying that! You would be enjoying the day and getting gifts.I'm single but I'm not going to begrudge anyone a happy day, good for happy couples..maybe next year we will be celebrating it with someone

Nope! Not going to agree with you on that one at all. Life is fun. You don't have to get anything from anyone. But you can email a sister or friend or someone and wish them a beautiful day. It isn't about yourself sometimes.

Ok Red...I am surprised at you.....I don't think redheads should ever ever spend a holiday....especially a romantic holiday alone....what the heck are you doing?????? You are making us all look bad now.....stand up, dust yourself off, and get out in the world.....redheads are not meant to be alone....good luck
