I landed on my head/neck/back. Well i remember it in slow motion and i felt this weird loss of movement for a breif second or two. I felt like i literally bounced and a shock of electricity went thru my right arm, leg, backside. It felt kinda like when u hit your funny bone, but thru out my whole right side. It was like pins/needles/electricity....very odd, never felt that before. Does anyone know what that was???? I was able to haul butt back into my apt cuz my children were w/me. I called 911 and they took me to er. Well after ct of neck and lower back, they said i just had a concussion. They said to report to an orthopedic doc if i didnt' improve in 3days for more tests for a possible herniated disc. Can anyone tell me what the heck that feeling was that i experienced? It was like i was frozen for a moment and couldn't move until it subsided. WHen paramedics arrived, my blood pressure was way high....something like 174/122 or somethin??? Can't remember it is all a blur!

YOU BETTER GET to an orthopedic doc ASAP to get x-rays or an MRI to double check that you didn't really mess up your back/spine. They cannot always tell just from x-rays if there is something wrong. I KNOW, i've had 2 back surgeries in 2005, knee surgery in Nov. 2006 and 4 weeks ago had a total hip replacement. The knee and hip were messed up from my back but i have severe scoliosis. JUST GO DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck!

You have sustained a shock to your system.
Your muscles tightened up and do not know how to relax which is putting pressure on nerves that cause the pins and needles.
See a massage therapist (an hour if you can) for your back, shoulders, and neck. You lightly rub or scratch everywhere on your head you will find tender spots, knots called trigger points, rub across them 6 - 12 times per session up to six times a day until they are gone.
Natural muscle relaxers are molasses (a swig or 2) and bananas (1 - 2) because they contain magnesium and potassium. (too much can cause the runs).
The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies teaches about muscles, pain and referred and has a 75% success rate.

I think what you were told was correct. your blood pressure was high because you went into a shock and were in pain so the heart was working to get the blood to your muscles more quickly and more of it. It happens really. If you think something is wrong go to a doctor and get it checked out maybe they might refer you to a physiotherapist.

you were in schock because of the fall. But if you had a herniated disc it would of shown in the CT or the MRI.
