A cat can go into heat about every 6 to 8 weeks, depending on age and physical well being. If pregnant, the cat will go the entire length of pregnancy then about two weeks later, she will go into heat agian.Even though she just gave birth, she can and mostly get pregnant agian.

hope this helps.

They can be in heat most of the time -- going in and out of heat all year long until they mate. It's very bad to let a cat go unspayed. Get this cat fixed!

cats go in an out of heat on monthly basis. The best thing you can do for the cat is have it fixed. Otherwise she will always be trying to escape to be with a male and the males will sit at night and wait for a chance to be with her. Males gather ouside and fight for the right to have her if she gets out of the house.

A cat will go in and out of heat sporadically until mated. Usually about every 10-14 days. Please consider spaying your female cat. There are far too many homeless cats now. If cost is a problem your local humane society may offer low cost spaying to you. Contact them.

·PROESTRUS 1-4 days
The queen displays an increase in vocalization, but will not accept a male. No apparent discharge.

·OESTRUS 5-8 days
The queen will want to go out for long periods of time. The queen is ready for mating and arches her back ‘lordosis,’ she will move her tail to one side and roll around as if in agony and will accept a male.

·INTER-OESTRUS 10-14 days
If no mating has taken place, no ovulation occurs; there will be a short period of sexual inactivity before the next cycle of ‘proestrus’ occurs.
OR

·METOESTRUS 10-14 days
This occurs if the queen has been mated and pregnancy occurs, or if artificial stimulation was used to induce ovulation.
OR

·ANOESTRUS 10-14 days
This is the normal period where no sexual activity takes place. (Usually during winter Sept-March.)

having your cat neutered is advisable...

A few days after she last was in heat and carries on this way till she gets spayed or gets pregnant-take your pick!

If she gets pregnant she will come into heat again as soon as the kittens are weaned.

Cats can have 2-3 litters a year but this is NOT advisable as it puts super strain on their bodies!
