The most likely reason is muscles.
The other possibility I can think of is toxins.
For either 1/2 gallon of water, one a good multivitamin, + calcium citrate with magnesium are things that help.
Muscles, pain and referred pain - read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies teaches what to do. Natural muscle relaxers are molasses and bananas - too much can cause the runs.
Toxins - most often arrive in the system because of a yeast overgrowth in the intestines.
Any health food store should be able to direct you to anti-yeast, anti-fungal, anti-toxins. Take it slow to start because die-off can be quite painful if there is a lot.
