As I left to go the Birthing Centre my little brother asked if I could bring him back a bottle of Coke!!!!
Then after a few hours my brothers and their friend turned up at the birthing unit to find out what was taking so long and why I hadnt brought him back his coke. Poor thing walked in when I was down on all fours and trying to push, of course my butt was facing the door. The poor thing coped an eye full and still isnt over 6 years later.
Then my brothers had the cops called on them as they were hoping in and out of my Mum's car in the birthing centre parking lot, someone obviously thought that because they were teenage boys they were breaking into it!!!

I bizarrely became a whiz at Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune while I was going through the hardest part of my labor. The TV was on in the room for distraction and entertainment purposes, and in between screaming I'd shout out an answer, but no one knew what I was talking about until a 1/2 second later when a contestant would buzz in with the answer. Eventually someone caught on. I don't really remember doing this, but the few people in the room still tell me about it and how amazing it was. The nurses for the few days after would come in saying, "You're the Game Show Girl! I hear you're pretty smart!"
Maybe it was Toddler's Week and it was easy?? lol

Umm, well, I guess the only "tv moment" we had was when I saw her for the first time. Our daughter was delivered c-section so they took her and cleaned her up first and then my husband carried her over all wrapped up in a blanket with tears in his eyes and he sat down next to my head (the rest is draped off and what not) and layed her down on the table in my free arm and said look at our daughter. We both cried so much and just couldn't stop looking at her. I must say, that is the one moment worth all the pain you endure. You'll forget everything that's happening or already happened. Good Luck!

i had my parents in the labor room with me... and i was in the birthing unit which is like a home environment not a labor room. and well i had a 20hr labor and my dad got hungry so with out anyone knowing he had rang for pizza.... so in the hall ways of this birth center was a pizza guy calling "who ordered pizza" and then there goes my dad to get his pizza. it was really funny everyone even the midwife had a peace this was at the 15hr of my labor. by now my pain was really bad as my contractions were at 1min apart for the last 14hrs and nothing was happening and I'm petrified of needles so i hadn't had any pain relief. so my dad start doing the wagon wheel add."eat the wagon wheel.... just eat the wagon wheel" but instead of wagon wheel was saying "take the epidural... just take the epidural" it was cute.. he then fell asleep and was snoring so loud.. after my son was born we all laughed even more because we were talking to visitors who were waiting in the waiting room for the arrival and they were in fits of laughter to. the midwife said it was the most enjoyable labor she has had to deliver even though it was 12hrs
p.s i had the epidural at 17hrs it was excellent i couldn't feel from my boobs down .

I literally had a TV moment, lol. I was in transition, the doctor was rushing to the hospital, and I was watching Jeopardy!. I yelled out 'Wal-Mart!'...it was the answer to final Jeopardy, and I had to explain to everyone, between contractions, what I meant by saying it (it replaced Woolworth's on the Dow Jones, in case anyone was wondering).
Good luck, giving birth IS so painful, but so joyous at the same time :)

My sister wanted to feel a contraction so I told her when I had one I would let her feel. Well I had one and she pushed against my stomach. I yelled out and said "if you do that again I will kick you in the face." LOL.. I don't know how I would have done that 38 weeks pregnant. I know this isn't a TV moment but I think it is funny!!

Mine isn't funny at alll. My wife went in to labour the day England played South Africa for the first time in about 15 years, so I missed the whole thing. I was all set up, beers in the fridge, a few snacks I still haven't 100% forgiven her.

As I was in labor (waiting for my meds), I was holding my hubby's hand and told him, "The longer this goes on, the more I'm blaming you!!"
