I would like to permanently move to Israel with my 9 year old son. What kind of job can I get there? Where can I get inexpensive housing? Will it be easy to get him into school? Neither one of us speaks Hebrew yet. I will take lessons, though. Any advice or help you can give will be appreciated.

If You Jewish You can visit Israel Embassy or Consultation near you - N.Y., Washington and L.A. You can visit Jewish Agency in US and ask delegate of agency for help to Immigrate to Israel. In Israel You can have tow or more citizenships.
In Israel many people speak English. I recommend take the housing in Big Tel-Aviv Area. Tel-Aviv is Expensive city for ranting housing, but some cities near city is good for ranting. For Example - Ramat-Gan, Petah-Tiqva, Holon, Rishon-LeTsion.
In most cities you can find government office that aimed to help for new citizens of country. Their you can take courses of Hebrew and other help.
Your can find work by Internet sites. Many English speaking people wonted by Israel companies.
Welcome to Israel

Speak to the Jewish agency representative in the States:
www.jewishagency.org
www.jr.co.il/aliyah/acenters.htm

They will guide you how to do it best and how to get all you're entitle to.

There are lots of English speakers in Israel and some English speaking schools; plus you get to go to "ulpan" = Hebrew School so you learn the language (it's part of your rights as a new immigrant)

Good Luck!
