I used another website to find the answer, and according to one of the answers in the link below, anything up to 70+ days. However, this was an exceptional case and everyone's different. www.netdoctor.co.uk would be a good website to use, as your grandma's age is a deciding factor. I wish you both the best of luck.

Depends on how large a person is. An average weight person can live without food for atleast 50-75 days as long as they have water. The bigger you are the longer your body can eat off of you. (Muscle mass, and fat tissues). This is considering that the person is healthy though with no health problems.

I'm sorry to say this, but the people who posted earlier are giving you statistics on a healthy relatively young individual who doesn't eat. Your grandma doesn't stand much of a chance of lasting even two weeks without food.

people have been known to live up to five to six weeks without nourishment....in the case of your grandma however, if she is frail, and is also refusing liquids, she will not last so long. It is her right to choose. Try to be supportive of her decision and respect her right.
