I don't think its lame. Maybe she just wants you to get to know her better or get to know you better before you start kissing. Her excuse was she don't want you to think she is a hoochie not that she didn't like you.

Some women do not kiss on the first date for various reasons. She may have in the past and felt like the guy got the wrong impression of her and now she is being more reserved.
