Does she have a collar with her name on and/or a microchip?
Call up police stations, animal rescue centres-RSPCA etc,and every vet in your area.Put up posters in local shops offering a reward for her return(don't say how much the reward is).
Ask your local radio stations if,for a fee, they will read a description of her and ask people to look for her.
Also go door to door and make sure no-one has taken her in thinking she was a stray.Ask people to check in sheds, garages and cars to make sure she hasn't got locked in anywhere. Also check if any building work has gone on nearby as more than 1 cat has gone to sleep on a building site and been trapped by a new wall!
If she is not spayed she may simply have gone looking for a tom in which case she may be back tomorrow or in a couple of weeks depending how far away the nearest tom is-either way she'll be pregnant.
In case she's nearby go out and call several times a day and especially when it's dark.

Two of my three cats went missing when we moved. One went for 2 weeks and came back after which the second vanished for 4 weeks and then the other one went for another 2 weeks ( think they went looking for each other) I posted notices everywhere and knocked on doors within a 10 Km radius. After no luck they were heard screaming outside the door one night - I think someone must have tried to keep them. The point is don't give up - if she is still out there she will be trying to get back home. Put posters on car windscreens, papershops churchhalls etc. Call your local radio station if possible - they are very community minded - is she tattoted or chipped - call the shelters and see if you can post notices via the heads of local schools - kids are often knocking around quiet streets and tend to notice animals loitering around - good luck I hope you find her,

God knows I know how you feel. My cat has been missing for 5 months now. I think you will have to go to all the local vets and ask them if they have had a cat brought in. You never know. I do hope you find your cat. Maybe there is a website such as the RSPCA you could put a picture of your cat on. Good luck

local vets have lost and found registers. try them. also try petsearch. web address www.petsearch.co.uk
they will have list of local lost & found register in your area.
also, 2 good bets are the postman and milkman in your local area. posty covers a large area on foot and milk man is around in the quiet hours when a lost nervous cat may venture out.
is there a local radio station that would read out a missing ad on air? some do, free of charge. also, if you have a local newsletter or paper, contact them.
offer a reward. not huge or black cats will be grabbed by people thinking it may be yours. maybe £25? that would interest the kids sfter school, and the more eyes looking the better.
may also be worth ringing cats protection and rspca as someone may have handed him in to them.
good luck, i so hope you find him.

hi there have you tried your local cat rescue centre or cat call they are very good at helping with missing cats. it might be a good idea to call your local vets i know it sounds awful and i am sorry but your cat may have been run over, so it may be a good idea to giver you local councel a ring and speak to the gutter sweepers in your area. i am so sorry if that is the case. what kind of a cat is she? as in is she very friendly and will go to anyone that strokes her or offers her affection she may have wondered into some bodies house, put cards through peoples doors asking them to check their garages and sheds. i wish you all the luck in finding her.

Is the cat spayed or neutured? If not she/he may have gone to find a mate. If this is the case she/he will probably return in a few days. Don't forget to check your local animal control and/or humane society to see if someone has brought it in. Good luck!

Have you moved recently? Once I had a cat disappear after I moved and the cat actually walked all the way back to my previous house about 5 miles away.

I heard this from a famous pet finder: since cats get scared easily, quite often they don't travel that far, and you should search right in/around your house/garage/basement/under the deck. dark or hard to reach spots that a cat can fit and stay for a while.
