there was no pope, no bible, no enforceable code of morality.
murder was considered a 'cultural' activity. there was no
pro-life, people were no more than globs of protoplasm and
scientific atheism ruled the earth from day one unto doomsday.
what if the golden rule, really was, do always unto your neighbor
whatever the hell you feel like. what would life on earth be like?
heaven or hell? what if taking life was considered more moral
than creating it?

Life would suck, and we would not have advanced to this point because people would kill whomever frustrated, etc, and that's not a way to cultivate society. This is not from a religious standpoint.

If you start from the assumption that the Catholic Church and the Bible are the source of an "enforcable code of morality," you are ignoring the millions of people, prior to the Catholic Church's or even the Bible's existence lived morally as well as the millions of people who derive their moral standards from sources other than the Bible and the Church.

If Christ never existed we wouldn't be here. If he hadn't come to earth aprox. 2007 years ago, we would be waiting on him to come. We would be living under the teachings of the Old Testiment.

Life would be totally primative, much like it was in the beginning. You have to admit, religion has brought some morals to the table, If nothing else. (I'm atheist)

assume the tale of Christ become not in any respect made up... Then taking existence would not be considered "moral" those Aztecs needed "saving" you recognize you're the style that provides religious human beings a nasty call. thankfully human beings like Love Shepherd are right here to remind us that there are solid and undesirable in each and every team.

How could that ever have happened? It doesn't make sense to kill or harm others. God or not. Religion didn't create morality. But it thinks it did!
