I'm going to Scotland in mid-June and have no idea what all to see outside of Edinburgh. Any suggestions?

June is the time of year when the towns and some villages in south-east Scotland have their annual ride-outs, festivals and civic weeks. South-east Scotland also has a large number of stately homes with lovely gardens.
If you are in Edinburgh, its main tourist information centre has information about what to see all across the country (not just in the city itself).
Wherever you decide to go to, hope all goes well for you.
