Christians- do you really consider atheists evil? come on they are just like you and me, they just haven't accepted Jesus.
Atheists- Come on, do you really know christians that call you evil? I think you may over exagerate, then again I am not an atheist so I guess I would not know.

I know why Christians call me evil... well, most of the time I know. Because they think that there's a Jesus to accept and they think that I'm refusing to accept him even though I've "heard the word". Fine... they don't often use the word "EEEEEVIL"... but usually something rather close.

That's the whole problem... I can't accept something that doesn't exist expect as a character in a really really popular book. I can no more accept Jesus than I can accept Zaphod Beeblebrox.

No, I don't consider atheists evil. Why would I? We are all God's children and to make a judgement call like that based on anything other than a person's actions/intent is just stupid.

I wouldn't say that ALL christians call us evil but a big percentage do. You wouldn't believe the loving, Christ-like emails I get from people on here. If I only had a dollar for everytime I've been told I'm going to hell. My delete button gets quite the workout.

that's a funeral, so there is not any longer even an expectation that all and sundry would be the comparable faith or any faith in any respect. for the time of prayers, basically take a seat (or stand, despite you're presently doing) and look quite lots quickly forward (it is disrespectful to take the possibility to do a inspect all and sundry else). If for some reason, that's a connect-hands prayer, then flow forward and try this.

I'm an atheist. I have never had a christian call me "evil." However, I have had christians call me the following:

1) Lost
2) Eternally damned to the lake of fire
3) minor demon
4) Satan's servant

Yes, unfortunately, I do know Christians that have called atheists evil. The exact wording was something along the lines of "Atheists are in league with Satan." (And variations of that.)

I've been called evil on this site several times. Granted....I was being fairly sarcastic, maybe even rude, at the time.

I don't think it's a matter of what they say....it's a matter of what they claim to believe.

Believing I, or anyone else, am going to hell because I don't accept their version of God is offensive. And it is indirectly calling my beliefs evil.

We've seen NUMEROUS questions asking how it's possible to be moral while niot believing in God. That subtext of that argument is not believing in God is evil.

Yeah, I've been called evil, deluded, and/or foolish by some Christians.
But the actions of a few don't reflect the intentions of an entire group.

I'm an Episcopalian, and I don't consider atheists evil. What I object to is anyone (atheists, vegetarians, etc.) try to force their beliefs on others. As long as people respect the Earth and its creatures and their fellow human beings, it doesn't bother me what their religious standpoint is.

I'm a bona fide atheist and I fail to see the 'evil' Most of the time we are treated as misguided. at worst we are not evil ourselves but instruments of evil. Of course there are always the lunatic fringe who see evil everywhere.
