If you see your pediatrician regularly they would have told you if they though there was aproblem. I have 2 kids. My son was 7 Lbs 24 inches when he was born. He is now almost 5 and weighs 35 Lbs. My daughter was born and weighed 5 Lbs 14 Oz and was 23 inches. She is now going to be 6 and weighs 38 Lbs. Both of my childern are very healthy, go in for regular check ups and Immunizations. I have asked numerous times if their weight is ok and 2 different doctors have said they are perfectly fine.

It's not normal, by the first year the weight should have tripled from his birth weight. Therefore if he weight 7 pounds by the first year it should be 21 pounds, by the age of two he should weigh around 30 to 35 pounds depending on his height.
See a doctor immediately.

My daughter is the same, she weights about 20 lbs and will be 2 in a few months. she was born at 39.5 weeks at only 5lbs 5oz and was 18.5 inches long. she is now about 32 ish inches long. I don't worry anymore. kids vary in size and there is no point of forcing a child to eat highly fattening foods just to bulk them up- this just leads to obesity--which is an even bigger problem in america. just give her plenty of healthy options like carrots and ranch. both of my kids love salad. If they seem active and happy that is a good indicator that they are healthy. don;t let others worry you when they say their 1 year old weights 30lbs,lol.

She should've been 20 pounds at a year old. By two she should be about 30 pounds or slightly bigger. Does she eat well? Talk to her pediatrition right away. There could be a problem. If not he may recommend a way to help her gain a few more pounds.

That is very very small, but I don't know how big your child was at birth? Is your child following their growth curve? That would be the biggest factor. What does the pediatrician say? Is your child staying in the same ( or near same) percentile for height and weight? You have to take those things into consideration. If your child was a preemie and was in the 5th %tile at birth..and is still in the 5th percentile, then it would be much more normal than if your child was in the 90th percentile at birth and is now in the 5th.

Do you sense ordinary? Do you sense risky? basically via fact the government has specific rules on top and weight all and sundry continues to be somebody. think of roughly it, if a 320 offensive lineman can do the flaws he does at his weight is he out of shape? yet whilst somebody is two decades previous 6'0" and weighs a hundred and eighty pounds yet in no way does something actual is he in shape? it is all in the type you sense.

It all depends on the genetics of the childs parents / grandparents...etc. If there were any concerns I believe the doctor would have mentioned them to you...don't worry about it...

Definetly see the pediatrician asap. My little girl has always been on the smaller end of the scale, but she was 20 lbs by 13 months.... And she's still tiny.

My 2 year old weighs 35 pounds! He is a tank though!
You should see what your pediatrician says about it. Some children have very petite frames and builds and perhaps she/he is totally healthy for her build.

It's fine. Kids grow a lot from the time they are born until they are 4 (thats where they start a pretty normal rate of growing).
