Don't worry.. He just went through a surgery... so give him time to recouperate... maybe a week or so?... My cat went through the same thing and as soon as he got better he was his old goofy self again...

Cats that get fixed tend to mellow down - but just a bit if they are young. Don't worry, JJ will be up and about and nearly like his own self again soon. My 1 yr old kitty also slept and slept after he got fixed... but he is OK now... playful, energetic but a mite more gentle. Also, some cats take a while to get rid of all the effects of the anesthesia and JJ may still feel pain around the butt region. Afterall, he did go through a surgical procedure! Give him time.

well if it was just 2 day ago then he is still feeling a little yucky but in a week he'll be back to his old self I cat max was fixed when he was a year old and he was back to his old self in about a week now he just sleeps all the time he's very old just turned 17 in Oct so your cat should be OK in a few days good luck

He'll be just fine. He was probably just a bit groggy from the anesthetic. You did the right thing getting him fixed! Congratulations. If he was an active cat before, he will be again. I have a cat who is almost 3, was fixed at about 8 months, and he is an absolute goof-ball.

Poor kitty! He is still recupperating from his surgery! It won't be long (maybe a couple of weeks at the most) before he is back to his old self! The good thing is that he won't spray and mark his territory like he would if he were not fixed and he won't wander off looking for females. Just give him some extra tender, loving affection until he heals.

That happened to my dog, later on she was better. Your cat will probley get better. It just has to get used to the change. Some advice, act the same around him like you did before he got fixed, for he can think he is the same cat.

he may want to sleep more than normal his eating habits wont change either . they become more lazy because they are not looking for a mate. just think no more kittens if female or males called TOMCATS do browl they will stop looking to get lucky. but your cats love for you dont change
