Christianity is the fulfillment of the Jewish prophecies. Christ came as was foretold, but His people did not recognize Him.

The jews do not accept that Jesus Christ was the messiah. They were so busy focusing on how to live all the laws, and they didnt even know Jesus when He came. Christians know Jesus was the son of God, and the messiah, and they love Him and follow Him, and have Him in their hearts and minds at all times, desiring to be only like Him.
BUt, there are messianic jews that do believe that Jesus was the son of God and they try to get this message out to the jews. All we can do is pray for them and love them. They were Gods chosen people. God tells us if we dont support Israel, we will be cursed. More will come in before Jesus comes. Lets just all pray. Great question. thanx

The conflict centers on who Jesus Christ is. Is He the Messiah, the Lamb of God as prophesied in the Old Testament or a blasphemous madman who deserved death for professing to be the Son of the Most High?
I know Him to be the former and I am not ashamed to declare it.

The Messiah was thought to be a great wordly king...not a suffering crucified one. According to Judaism, Jesus was more of a prophet and certainly not God's own Son....so we Christians actually worship a mere man. Jesus, then, has become a true stumbling block to the Jews, Muslims and others.

Jews dont believe that Jesus was the son of God, and are still waiting on their messiah.

My guess is christians see this as insulting, because thats pretty much what their religion is based on (christ as the messiah) and is the only difference between the two.

There should be no conflict from Christians to Jews becuase the Jews are God's people. The tension is just from the death of Jesus. Many Christians blame it on the Jews but why? Jesus died because he wanted to die! There many Jews out there that do not hate, though. Singer/songwriter Matisyahu just wants the worship of the Lord to be done. Listen to his music

as far as jewish beliefs are concerned, the fact that christians are waiting for a "second" coming, proves that jesus was not "it".

why? theres no second coming prophecyed. its all done in one trip.

the whole second coming thing was simply invented with christianity, to avoid the fact that jesus didn't complete all that the messiah would have to do, in order to BE the messiah.

Spiritually speaking, it involves Jesus' claim that he is the Messiah. The Jews view this as heresy, the Christians as truth. As for any "worldy" conflict (violence and whatnot), it stems from that as well.

"Conflict" might not be the correct term to use.

"Difference" may be more suitable.

Christianity is the acceptance that Jesus is the Son of the one true God and the path to salvation of the eternal soul.
