My indian friend and her mom stayed at my place for three months because of her divorce. Well, after they left i realized my apartment has an indian odor which i can't bare to smell. Smells like onions and curry =(. I already did carpet cleaning and all and smell is still here. Any advice?

I can't stand the smell of curry makes me throw up. I couldn't ride in my adapted cousins car bec it smelled like curry. Wash the walls and ceiling and if that doesn't work repaint them.
Get a new apartment

Odors hide in the drapes and the rugs and the furniture. Wash your bedspread and blankets too. Anything that absorbs odor (sounds like everything to me, even plastic) should be shampooed with an odor killing agent. If you really want a clean carpet (they are usually the culprits) then Petsmart has a product for pet odors you can buy and then borrow or rent a carpet shampoo machine. That's the hardest way but it works!!

You also need some Fabreeze to spray on all the furniture too. Every inch. That's a lot of work, but if it's killing you, the only alternative is to move to another apartment!! That's a good idea too by the way!! And don't let anyone make racist remarks or insult you here!!

My Vegetarian daughter went on a garlic kick and I know what you are dealing with, only mine was garlic!! Whew!! She ate so much of it her skin began to smell funny and she was an extremely clean girl. People finally told her about it and she lost a boyfriends over it!!

Food has a strong odor and if it's not our own favorite style of food, it can be unbearable!! Good Luck!! @8-)

It is the curry. Opening the windows will not make it go away. All of the wall have to be painted with BIN a paint sealant. It is the only thing that will do the trick.

Yeah that smells sticks for a while....uh, my advice, have a poker party at your place, lots of smoke, the next day your apartment will smell like smoke, air out the windows, after a day your apartment should be clear of curry smell....but you might have some left over cigarette smell....
