Breeds you like?

Question

Other than the breed of your current dog(s) (if you have a dog) .. What breed do you love? What is a breed you love, but would never have, because of size, maintenance, etc.?

I have a Bichon and a Chocolate Lab..I love Pointers and Standard Poodles but they are a bit too high strung for me!

I have 2 pugs now and while they are cute, they will be my ONLY pugs!! Know you didn't ask current but thought I'd give you a tip about what monkey-cat-type animals my silly pugs are!! Too much work!! Yes, I love them TOO MUCH!! But this is it for pugs.

I loved poodles for years and have had so many because they don't shed. But I got tired of the hair mattes and combing them.
They were such clean little darlings though. And so devoted.
I have always wanted a Golden Lab, a Schnauzer, Yorkies, more Dachshunds but in gold next time, (GAWD there are so Many!!)
a Wire-haired Fox Terrier, a Boston Terrier (sneaked ours in there cause they are fantastic and extra-smart, sorry) a skinny Borzoi or Afghan, an English Bulldog, a Basset Hound, a Bloodhound, and my next dog will definitely be a little white French Bulldog!!! YEAH!!!

Thanks for Asking!! That was fun!! My mother still grieves for her precious Bichon and even had her portrait painted.
She's elderly now and can't have a dog. But she watched Westminister just to hope the Bichon would win. You would love a Bichon!! They are like little loving people!! Good Luck!! @8-)

I have a maltese and an American Pit Bull Terrier. We (the Pit and I, the maltese is too dog agressive to strange dogs, go figure!) are fixtures at the local dog park and I swear my next dog will be whatever walks through the gate. Everyone at the park laughs because everytime the gate opens I say "OOHH! How beautiful! I want one of those!!!" I love all breeds, but will always have a Pit. I always have 2 dogs, and when the Maltese passes on (she is getting up there in age) I'm not sure what my next dog will be. I said I would never get a dog that needed haircuts, but that didn't last. Wait, the peanut gallery just informed me it will be a Dobie or a Mastiff.

I love all breeds of dogs, but some of my favorites are English Mastiffs, American Cocker Spaniels, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and many of the not-so-popular breeds like Alapaha BB Bull dogs, Danish Broholomers, Olde English Bulldogges and malloorquin Bulldogs.

I have a toy poodle and a shar pei mix.
I would LOVE a Neapolitan Mastiff..but the size prohibits me from that! I think they are very cool though. I also love Collies, but wouldn't have one because of the hair( maintenance and a child's allergies.) I would also have a Pitt but our home owners insurance won't let us ( even though our mix looks pitt and gets mistaken for one). I love pitts, grew up with them and think they are super family dogs. I think poms are cute too...but the hair..uugggh! I love all animals..but as far as dogs in general goes, I am partial to the bully breeds.

Austrailian Shepards! I had one when I was younger and he was the smartest, beautifullest, good with kids, best dog ever. However, they need alot of exercise, they are working dogs, so I would not own one unless I have the acreage for the dog to run. It would be cruel to expect a dog like this to sit in an apartment or any working dog for that matter.

I love my Border Collie. I love the Labrador (all colors) and the Doberman, also the Bichon and Standar Poodle. I would love to own an Irish Wolfhound, however, their lifespan is to short for me and I love the Cavalier as well, however, they have to many health issues.

I currently own a yorkie. My favorite breed is probably the husky. We had a huge husky as a kid. I loved that dog. It was bigger than me! I would get another one, but I've become allergic to most animals, and yorkies are great for people with allergies. I'm not allergic to this little guy one little bit. Almost the opposite on the husky... wouldn't you say?

I think Boxers are GREAT Pretty Dogs!
I have a boxer she is almost a year old in June and she is Very VERY pretty her name is Kenya!! Boxers are known for great dogs! They arent HUGE dogs but they are the size of a Chocolate Lab!! You Should REALLY think about getting a boxer!! People Love them!!

Well I have a pug, a rottie, a shep/lab cross but what I really want and my hubby won't let me have is a shep/wolf cross I grew up with them as a kid and they were great family dos for one and very protective for another. my parents would lets us go where ever we wanted to as long as we took one of the dogs and well we played in the desert all the time and well the imigrants stayed far away from us.

I love Staffordshire Bull terriers, Saint Bernards, Vizslas, Australian Cattle Dogs, Large Munsterlanders (My ABSOLUTE Favorite), and Rat Terriers. I love all dogs, but these are my favorites, I like chihuahuas but I wouldn't get one because I'm afraid people will think I'm like Paris Hilton and I carry my dog around in a bag and gross things like that. I currently have a Great Pyrenees and I love her :-)
