I think thats a good idea but i would reccomend a slight twist. Make it a note scavenger hunt. Leave one note , tell her something you love about her then add directions to find the next note. Send her all over the house finding little love notes everywhere, then have the last note take her to somewhere where you are hiding and then hand her the last sticky note (with the proposal) and get down on one knee and take out the ring.
You should be there when you propose so i wouldnt just put a note somewher when you arent even home.

Instead of proposing her trough a note, make notes with hints on them. Have some notes hidden trough the places she goes . Usual place, fridge, bathroom and write how special she is, you want her to be with you the rest of you life, have something special in store for her when you get home.
By the time you get home, bring champagne and roses and of course a nice ring and propose then. Make it a special moment that will last in your memory forever.

Thats so romantic. I would love it. But I can't speak for your girlfriend, I can see it go incredibly wrong. She might think that you're kidding or something. Play it safe and do it face to face.
Or you can leave a note with something like "Meet for dinner at (wherever)" and then propose to her there.
That'd be romantic too. Good luck to you guys and happy Valentine's Day <3

My friend did something like this. However it was slightly different. He stood in front of her and said i have just a little note for your. He gave it to her with the proposal on it. As she read it he got down on one knee with the ring and said the proposal. They got married last Jan
If you want to incorporate notes then do what you feel is right, however i believe a face to face proposal is better. Remember she will remember that moment for the rest of her life.. make it count
Good luck

That sounds like a great idea. But instead of leaving it in a note, and then going to work; why don't you stay home and surprise her. Like make it seem like you have gone to work, then once see reads the note, pop out of the shadows with the ring.

I think that's a cute idea. But I would call in sick that day or ask for the day off. When your GF reads the note you should be hiding or be sneaky about it. (Making her think you really went to work) Then when she reads it, you will see her reaction.....that's when you pop out and propose to her face to face with a beautiful ring!!!! =P

Bad idea. A marriage proposal is the lead into the biggest day in a woman's life (especially if this is her first time). So it has to be in person, it has to be full of sentiment and of course it should be extremely romantic. Good luck!!!

I think it would be cute! BUT, I would take that day off work, get up like you normally do and leave her the note, and then be waiting for her outside the bedroom with the ring...that would be sweet!

No - that sux - I get your idea but she is going to want you to be there to say YES to and really you should be there. Its not much of a moment for her leaving a yes or no note on the fridge!

You could ask her in a note but then take the day off of work.
