Proactive is the best. It's a little expensive, but how badly do you want to get rid of those zits? It works wonders!

Here is your answer, and it might put proactive out of business, but I swear to you this works. My husband used this all through his teen years, and now our 4 teenage sons are following in his footsteps. We use Cod Liver Oil. Best if you can handle a teaspoon or two after every meal. I am finding it quite difficult to find the oil, so the boys take the Cod Liver Oil Capsules (2 or 3) three times a day. Here's the thing, we bought Proactive for our 15 year old with crazy acne, he used it as directed and 6 weeks later..nothin' amazing happened...he went back to the Cod Liver Oil and immediately his face started to clear up. The thing with the Cod is that you must take the capsules 3 times a day..every day. No skipping. This is economically way more doable for us. ($3.00 for 60 capsules) I myself was AMAZED with the results. We threw out the proactive. Best Of Luck

Accutane. Because other medicines, like Proactiv, require constant application. Your acne will always come back. But with Accutane, you start a five to six month regime that will clean you out totally. It's a risky medication but it is worth everything. Talk to your doctor about it. I used to have severe acne...like dark patches all over my skin. It was terrible. Oh, and I had such oily skin as well. It was like grease dripping from my face. Now, I am perfectly normal and clean. Do some research on it and if you need any information contact me at oroesel@yahoo.com

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

I know one course products for acne and they work just great. Moreover they are made from natural materials so you don't have to worry about hurting or aging your skin which will be shown later when you get older. They are composed of facial wash, deep cleanser, treatment cream and on-the-go quick stick. It sounds like too much but because acne is caused from bacteria you really need a total care for it if you really want to root it out. Anyhow I can not explain everything here so if you are interested just let me know. I think I can help you. Thanks.

Proactive did not work for me and made my acne worse. I tried the regiem at ACNE.org and it worked wonders. You may also want to try some colloidal silver, you can get it at a health food store.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory creams are very good for curing acnes because they occur mostly because of a skin infection .
