I have been with the same insurance company for quite a while now, and I really need to switch because it has gotten outrageous. I have only ever had one minor accident in all the years I have driven, but everytime I try to get an insurance quote so I can switch companies, they tell me I do not qualify for insurance because of my husband's revoked license. (Child support). Anyway, can anyone please tell me any companies who would be willing to take me on? Thanks!

Is this car insurance?

Progressive and Leader Insurance are both willing to write an auto policy with an operator exclusion for the suspended driver.

That means, the policy doesn't cover him, you, or the car, if he's driving, no matter what.

It relies upon on the excuses that his license replaced into revoked. If he replaced into convicted of driving without coverage, driving with no license, or yet another offense similar, he will be almost no longer accessible to insure. because he's residing on your loved ones (i anticipate he does) it really is implied that he will have get admission to to the motorized vehicle, so his information is easily proper. you may easily get coverage although!! contact an self sustaining agent and ask for the state's severe danger application. searching on the challenge of penning this on your state, some brokers received't be in a position that could help you. this is going to be your in elementary words direction to purchase automobile coverage. The precise cost for this coverage can be more desirable than your automobile funds. Revoked and suspended are 2 quite some issues, a DUI (one a minimum of) will be a lot less expensive than driving even as suspended.

If you are in a State with compulsary insurance, you must be able to get auto insurance. Try Progressive (or Drive by Progessive as written through Independent agents) if they write in your State. If not, the only other option is the Assigned Risk pool. Also known as the Facility in at least one state or other such name. Hope this helps.
--I think a company would be hard pressed to exclude a husband, especially since the definition of a named insured is - named insured & spouse residing in the same household.

The main question is does your husband need to be on the policy?

If no, tell them you want him excluded from the policy. That way, they know he does live with you, but he's not insured under your policy. He will have to get his own insurance which will be very expensive, but if his license is still suspended, I guess that's not a problem...yet.

If yes, many local independent agents have "non-preferred" insurance carriers which, for a substantial premium, will insure you both.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this, good luck!
