Call every place that holds weddings, check to see if the date is available with a sales manager. If a reception site has your preffered date available, at this time of the year they will work out a great deal just to get an event in house...
Remember an inexpensive wedding does not have to look inexpensive.
Several ways to cut cost ~
Serve a single or duet entree. Serve the wedding cake as dessert.
Keep flowers simple, ask if the site has any centerpieces such as candelabras or votives that your florist can work with.
Print your own ~ Invitations, place cards, programs and menus.
Do favors yourself.
Example ~ if the bride and groom are fans of wine, pick up mini bottles, have ribbon printed with their names and the date, wrap the ribbonon the neck of the bottle, fasten to the bottle alternate red/white at each place setting.
Good Luck

The chances of you finding an available reception hall for April (of this year) are very slim. I would suggest alternate areas such as backyards of friends and family or perhaps a park. You could also try a community room of a church or recreation hall or perhaps a fire hall. But all the nice, elegant reception/banquet halls will be taken. Why'd you wait so long anyway? Good luck.

Try one of the local parks and hire a justice of the peace to perform the ceremony. The trees and flowers should be blooming in April.

city hall save the money and have a rocking reception. big weddings is waste of money. you'll never find anything this close to the wedding that's affordable unless someone cancels their wedding. best wishes.

At this point about all you could do is hold it in her back yard. Most wedding venues are booked up at least 6 months in advance

Invite Jerry Jones over to be the Brides Batchelorette party. After she sleeps with him, he will let you use the stadium.
