First I am looking for a song for me and my fiance to dance with our 3 children, they are 5, 16 months, and 5 months. Also my grandparents have passed away and I am looking for a way to honor them at my wedding reception?

Hello, i just got married 2 weeks ago, so let me say congratulations to you! for your song i can only advise not to dance to "we are family". it is such a bad song, in my opinion. we have a 10 month old and people told me that this was our day, not our families day, so my husband and i danced to "i swear" by john michael montgomery. and we danced to "you'll always be my baby" as a family. i, also, have had people pass that i wanted to honor during my reception. so, on our place card table, i had a picture frame with a paper inside that said "please remember those who are celebrating in heaven", and it listed their names. then to honor my cousin who passed, the dj played his favorite song "i'm so in love with you" by al green. but before he played it, he announced that it was a song for keith, who is dancing in heaven. it was so nice and my aunt appreciated it so much. well, good luck, i hope i helped.

My father passed away when I was 16 and my fiances mother passed away when he was 22. We are placing flowers with my daughter at the waters edge for our departed parents. If you are not having a beach wedding consider lighting a candle next to a picture of them.

We will have a dance with my daughter as well. She's really into princesses so we are thinking of dancing to A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes.

My kids were 6,7, and 11 and we had a family dance..just the five of us and we danced to the Hokey Pokey. It was very cute. The Hokey Pokey would be very age appropriate for you two oldest children. You could always hold your 5 month old during the dance.
As far as honoring your grandparents, you could dedicate a dance to them, use their favorite song or their wedding song.

Ribbon in the Sky - Stevie Wonder. As for your Grandparents, how long has it been since they've passed? If it was recent (my condolences), thena simple toast would do the trick. If it occur some time ago, then perhaps you may want to save the thought for when your two are alone as you may ruin a beautiful day for someone that is harboring memories. Congrats and good luck!

If your grandparents had a specail song they liked then play that,
example-
they LOVED the song : I wanna dance with somebody;whitney houston

grandpa was in military so play the national anthem, and mom was a big hippi or something so play a hippi song=) LoL

and your song for your family could be a fun song like
"I wanna dance with somebody"
and then for you and your fiance do a song like
"I Swear" by boys 2 men=) I love that song

♥MICKEY

p.s.
CONGRADULATIONS=) GOODLUCK and HAVE FUN(=

hi there
i think regarding having a song to dance to you should pick a song that holds memories for you both, i got married 8 months ago and we knew what was 'our song' even before we got married. a nice idea to remember your grandparents would be to mention them in your speeeches and then maybe plant a lovely tree in memory of them and let your children release balloons into the sky too

hmmm... My grandmother passed away last year. I also wanted to do something special to remember her. I didn't want to do anything outrageous. So I decided that I would go buy her favorite perfume, and wear it on my wedding day. So I'd say something small and personal is fine. Maybe give out some of their fav. candies as favors, something like that.
