I was told to add bleach to my BT bath water to take care of a skin condition she has, that I was told was caused by bacteria.
I was wondering if anyone else has tryed this?

Without knowing what skin condition she has it is a little hard to suggest something better but there are many better products available. Its possible that a good sulfa shampoo is what you might really need, however you might want to read the descriptions of what each shampoo takes care of before choosing one. Your vet or a groomer could help with that, but you probably don't see a groomer with a Boston. I think that if you find the right link you can add to your question and describe a little more about the type of skin condition you are seeing.

Whoever told you that is on crack! Would you bathe YOURSELF in bleach water? Bostons are prone to various skin problems, but bleach isnt' going to help! He should see a vet. The vet might have to do medicated baths (which MIGHT be able to be done at home, but some are not), but I seriously doubt any vet is going to recommend bleach. You could seriously harm your dog this way. Bleach could cause serious problems if it gets in his eyes... not to mention just inhaling the fumes could be enough to cause respiratory problems in a boston. It's also most likely to CREATE NEW skin problems as opposed to fixing anything. BAD idea.

you sitting in bleach will harm your skin so think about a dog in that way. If you would not sit in a bath full of bleach water then don't do it to your dog. Lym dip will do the trick usually. Talk to your vet about getting some.

Bleach on skin BURNS. Yes, it WILL kill bacteria! It will also dry your dogs coat out to the point where its so brittle it breaks when you touch it. It will strip the oil on his skin, also. If your dog has a skin condition, you gotta get medication from the vet.

I would call your vet first before you try this. Bleach is noted to try out skin.

you better call a vet, that sounds nothing like any veterinarian would recommend. I work for a vet.

Yeah bleech is harmless. It kills bacteria, when this happens an odor is released, dont let the smell of that confuse you though
