Crows are scavengers, they may be flocking for trash, check your area whether it is clean and look for something they may have found people do not recognise. You may be an asset to life and fight crime. There could be something you need to do, especially if it is recent and sudden.

GOOD EATIN' in the neighborhood.
Crows are opportunistic - if you feed the wild birds, the crows will make sure that they are first. I have seen crows disturb a bunny nest and fly off with one of the baby bunnies in their claws, my friend had crows invade her area and slowly the bluebirds, cardinals and other colorful birds in her area were gone. She thinks it was because in the spring, the crows raided the nests. If you like crows. - then do nothing -their numbers will grow.
Crows are territorial - and flocking creatures. I have seen as many as 3 dozen flying, hunting, chasing and just hanging out. I have heard people speak of larger sized flocks. Once they find a section they like, they claim it. They will chase anything that gets in their way. Which is why they rule in numbers

Well, it depends on which movie you watch. The Birds by Hitchcock or The Crow.

Actually they just happen to find that there is enough roosting space for them and they are close enough to water and a food supply. By spring they should fly away, but they may come back next fall.

Crows will be crows. They may be ganging up on an animal that has gotten into one of the nests. Or, they might think they see food.

Did you know that its refered to as a "Murder of Crows" when they flock togehter like that. i wouldn't hang around outside after dark. The crow and the raven have traditionally been regarded as omens of death and ill-fortune.

See the link below to find out why they really congregate like that. Cheers!

You know, it could be that they are all traveling together and just needed to stop somewhere and take a breather. I have seen birds do that. They all come and then they all go in the same direction.

That they have chosen that area to congregate in. My advice is not to park or stand under the tree... Honeychild!
