The name of the Marine is Jeff McBride of Carlsbad, CA USA He is/was a blackhawk pilot. He arrived in Uzbekistan in December of 2000. I have lost track of him. Thanks! Michael W Phillips

Google the "Marine Corps Locator". If he is still in that will tell you were he is.

Call his parents. Those are usually the first to know.
If he is married call his wife. It is hard for the news to publish all the men who have died. 120 just last month. IT takes a long time to process that many people, even to get word to the relatives. Some blown up in road side bombs it takes a long time to get idenity papers.
