atherosclerosis is a vascular disease in which there is narrowing of the blood vessels due to accumulation of cholesterol in your veins. The vessels lumen tend to narrows just like a old water pipe starting to accumulate rust within, in time the the pipe's passage narrows and the flow of water through the pipe is decrease, this is similar with our blood vessel.
