Well, if he's over 18 there's really nothing that can be done. Once the tatoo is there it's there for good! My brother in law threw his son out of the house for getting a superman logo tatoo. I thought that was just wrong and he overreacted! If I had a son, I really couldn't say anything since I have both arms tatooed and a calf also.

If my teen-age son came home with a tattoo of any type I would first want to know who gave him permission (since he is under age) and then I would go to the tattoo parlor and demand they remove it immediately. I would have the person that signed the consent for pay to have it removed!

Well, I would find out who signed the consent form, because he is underage. If he signed it himself, you can charge the parlor and have them pay for the removal.
If you want to make your son regret doing this, go online and find pictures of old guys with tattoos on their sagging wrinkly arms.
And, while you're at it, try to see if he's gotten any other "interesting" body art...

1st thing - what is he doing getting a tat assuming he's under 18? I think you need to examine your relationship with him - are you and he communicating well? On the other hand - it's just a tatoo....not the end of the world - but he could be delving into other dangerous things. It's not too late to be a strong parent.

I would go after the artist who gave it to him- he or she can't be tatooing underage kids!
I would also talk to a dermatologist about removal. A naked lady on his forarm may hinder job prospects, among other things your son probably hasn't even thougth of yet.

Well if he already got it- you really can't do anything. But if he's thinking about doing it you can sit and try to change his mind- maybe looking for other tattoos.

Nothing much you can do, is there? Even if you punish him, the tattoo will still be there.

Tell him to cover it up when he's in your presence or move out.
