Israel. All over the world.

Basically, Abraham was told to gather several nomadic tribes into a new nation with a covenant with the Voice that gave Abraham the instructions. The Nomadics that became Hebrews do not know the true name of that voice to this day--and neither do the Christians.

Judaism is practiced on all the continents of the world. The reason there is little spoken of the majority of Jews who live outside Israel, is because they do not proselytize nor hold religious rallies in football stadiums. Though they have survived as a religion much longer than Christianity or Islam without such antics.

The country of origin is Israel. It is a monotheistic religion centered around Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaiah, Moses etc. Israel is a country in the Middle East south of Lebanon. The Judaistic religion is a major conflict in the middle east, but Israel still is mostly Judaistic. The United States has the most followers of Judaism, and North Africa and Eastern Europe have many followers. Glad to help!

I am a Reconstructionist Jew and a Reiki master. I worship G-d only; Reiki is a method of healing and relaxation which does not require any other worship - Reiki is not an alternate religion. I cannot speak for Orthodox Jews, however I suspect that some are not aware of what Reiki is and is not. B'shalom Edit: No offense taken, Mark. To those who wrote in and are not sure what Reiki IS - I explain it this way: there is energy all around us. Reiki allows us to channel this energy in the same way that wires allow us to receive electricity in our homes (which brings up an interesting conundrum on Shabbat!). As a Reiki practitioner, all I do is guide the energy; I do not produce it. I believe the energy is there from G-d, just as is the air we breathe. Hope this helps a bit!

"Jew" I am told is from "Yahudim" which means worshipper of YHVH. I guess it began when Abraham was called out of Ur. Which I'm told is in Iraq. (You might trace it back to Adam, but I don't know where the garden of Eden was) The true worshippers of YHVH and the Savior YAHOSHUA are rather scattered at this point, and I am not aware of any sizable group that follows scripture.
