1. He isn't real.
2. In the books, religion is never mentioned. So we don't even know if Harry is Christian or not. Therefor it doesn't matter.
3. Magic and the use of it isn't a religious thing in the books. It's more like a job.

Well the Christo-fascists would say he is, but then when has a fictional character ever stopped a Fundie? I mean, they thought the Da Vinci Code was a real book that criticized Christ even though it was complete fiction.
You'd think these people would at least have one foot in the real world........scary really.

(yeah, i'm Christian)
Harry Potter is not a heretic, he is a fictional person in a movie, and in a book.
However, if there is someone who is so fragile in their beliefs that they are afraid of being swayed to evil by it, or God forbid, their children, then I submit to you that their faith wasn't all it was cracked up to be in the first place.

Seeing as how he is a fictional character I don't see why he would be anything more than part of JK Rowlings imagination.

He would appear to be a pagan which would make him more heathen than heretic. On the other hand, it is England and I wouldn't rule out some merged Pagan-CofE sect.
So far, Harry seems far more ethical and his theology far more consistent and his miracles/magic far more believable than god and the bible.
