The pro is that you can talk in two languages...one of the cons is choosing which one! I have been speaking German for the last five years, but I have only recent met one German. Maybe French would have been more useful!
If you have enough time to learn, go for it!

one of the pros is that really helps you get ahead rather than someone that only speaks one language, where I work nobody else speaks a second language, so I'm the go to guy and I read somewhere that being bilingual prevents Alzheimer's. The bad thing is sometimes I confuse both languages while I speak, it's kinda embarrassing because I end up saying things in one language while the other person speaks the other.I also forget words and expressions from both.

Well, I have known a couple kids who grew up in a bilingual home from the start. Those kids seemed very confused and didn't really speak til much later than other kids. In the end it is great to know both, but at first it really slows them down. I knew a little girl that I could speak to in English or Spanish and she understood me (she was 2) , but when she tried to speak, it was complete jibberish. I think she was 4 before she started speaking right. Another boy's mom told me that he combined the 2 languages. Like he said Shoepatos. (Shoes = Zapatos)

The pros: you can speak to more people, and you have a different way of thinking about the world (say, different noun classes or cases or different verb aspects)
Cons: you don't know a third language! And sometimes get confused which language you're meant to be speaking.
This would depend on your level of bilingualism of course.

There are no Cons in this instance.
Always good to know more than one language. Pretty much everyone else in the world speaks at least 2 languages, why not in the US? Unless you consider Spanish but it is not an official language yet.

I don't think there's some Con's. Every new language that you learn is a new way to get more information about the world, about people around the the world ,and if you do a good use of these, your life can be better, easier and maybe, happier.
