Now, is this a girl or a date? A date is like February 14, a time is like 7:30. You spend time, you spend money, but you enjoy your life. Why spend anything? Put your money back in your pocket. Where can you sit and talk? Do a puzzle together. Find out what her favorite color is. Make a note about it. When is her birthday? What was her happiest day all about?
If you call this a date it's like the movie Ground Hog day and you'll spend it over and over and over until you finally see your shadow and go sit in the sun. Get it?

Easy! Go to the supermarket, buy a roasted chicken and a caesar salad kit. Go home, pack up a picnic (plates, napkins, something to drink from the fridge, a radio with some romantic tunes to take with you, and a banket!) Make the salad and place it in sealable bowl. Remove the skin from the chicken and then de-bone it using a fork to shred it as you go. You will only need 1/2 the meat, with the left overs you can make chicken salad for lunch. Package the meat seperately from the salad and pack it too. Don't forget utensils. Then if you are in a city, most have places with free concerts today, go there ad have a picninc, if not, take her to a romantic place with a lovely evening sky and then have your picnic with the music. If it is too cold, make it a candle light picnic on the living room floor.

I would get a pack of marshmallows and some toothpicks and make little snowmen, then go buy some soda, and with the remain bit go to the dollar theater and watch an old new movie.

less money means more creativity is needed.
The park idea is great. Or how about free musuems. and if it's cold where you are then go out for hot chocolate and donuts afterwards instead of going out for the traditional dinner. If it's hot then go out for ice cream. Just be creative. Personally I would enjoy doing some sort of activity instead of just sitting around watching a movie.
Good luck.

Find the most beautiful local park/spot in your area and take your special date there for a walk where you enjoy the scenery, conversation, and each other's company. End the evening over coffee at a quaint coffee shop.
