I get recurring sores inside my nostrals, they can be very painful and last for about a week at a time. I don't know what is causing them or what I can do to prevent them from coming back. They always come in the same spots every time, the innermost sides of my nose. They can crack and bleed at times. There can be about a month or so between them. Any ideas?

It may be a really simple answer. You may not be drinking enough water. Your skin, including that inside your nose needs a lot of water even in the winter because of the dry air. I used to get occasional minor nosebleeds in the winter until someone suggested this to me and it worked. I've found that my hands do not get as dry either when I'm drinking enough water. Maybe it will work for you as well.

I used to get those too! I finally mentioned it to my doctor and she gave me an antibiotic oitment to use. They always came in the winter when the air is dry. They haven't come back since my doctor helped and she said the dry air will do that.

hmm... i don't want to worry you, and of course i'm no doctor and this is the internet, so i can't see it myself.... but this sounds like herpes symptoms. i'd go to a physician WHILE you have an active sore, both for visual inspection and a possible culture of the lesion.
