I recently started using Brevoxyl (8% benzoyl peroxide wash) and BenzaClin (5% benzoyl peroxide and 1% clindamycin) for my acne. I was wondering is my skin too sensitive to use a depilatory like Nair made especially for the face?

Benzoyl peroxide can dry your skin and make it more sensitive to a depilatory cream.

To be safe, I'd avoid using a depilatory and consider getting a professional treading or cold waxing instead. A good aesthetician will be able to help you and recommend a safe hair removal method.

Ideally, you would call the doctor who prescribed the BenzaClin and ask for her opinion.

I would not recommend using a depilatory cream because of the possibility of causing a reaction while you're on antibiotics. The best way would be to use hot wax (less painful that regular wax strips). Good luck.

if you over use it yeah. be easy with your skin and start light. use small amounts sparingly until your skin can gradually take more.
