I used to right up until I was fifty something then the dreaded short sightedness took over. Ever tried cutting the hair on the back of your head when your looking through a two mirrors...yes I ended up with a big chung of hair missing from the back of my crown.
Now I leave it to the professionals

After 50 years of paying someone else to cut my hair, I bought a hair trimmer a couple of weeks ago. Not to save money, but to be able to get a cut that I liked. So far, I have learned that it is easy to cut too short. The second cut will be left longer. Otherwise, I am pretty pleased with the result.

Yes I cut my own hair now. Every time I go to Cost Cutter I repair their work on my hair,They do it real fast,and I am not happy on their work on my hair.I studied hair styling, but did not graduate. It is easy to cut and style other peoples hair,but not your own hair. I style my hair now in a simple way.

Sometimes, it helps that it is just a bob, and my hair turns in so any uneveness is less obvious than if it were very straight. If some brainless bimbo can charge me 20 quid to do it, I'll have a go myself. I wonder why Americans call their fringes bangs.

I cut my own sidebangs. When I first got them I got them done professionaly and now i keep after them by cutting myself.
If you do make sure you use hair cutting scissors. If not you will get crazy split ends.

No. my sister is a hairdresser so I am lucky. saves me a fortune. You should get it done at the hairdressers for a proper job so that it looks good. Mind you you might make a good enough job yourself and it depends on what style you have and kind of hair.

Sure do. And my husbands and 4 childrens. "I have no professional training!" (My favorite saying since William Hong on American Idol) Anyways, it took alittle bit of "practice", but I figured it out. No one has anything too complicated. But easy to do and manage daily. I have to with our budget. It's way to expensive for the 3 boys to go every month and we 3 girls every month and a half or so.

Sometimes I do, depends on what I feel like. Mostly I go to the hair dressers
