Now thats something I must agree with!
I mean if I was a athiest well I'd be living my life to the maxiumn sorta thing I mean obviosully like you said athiests don't believe in God and afterlife surely they should be out there having the best time possible, I came across a athiest on holiday this year I got insulted a fair amount he tried making me become a athiest it didn't work rather pathetic really to say im only a kid and a middle age man was reading a book to me called the God dillusions or what evert its called and tell me its like mental abuse. He brought up my mother and the fact if God was nice he wouldn't of taken my mum away from me but why make me feel bad because he doesn't believe in God. It really gets on my nerves. Don't share it if you dont like it (Sorry if im ranting)

*Yawns* your very question is flawed by judging ALL Atheists who come to Y/A as negative thinkers, my theory is you are not comfetable in whatever faith you hold to ask none believers that.
If you were don't you think YOU would have something better to do than care what those with "short" time who apparently "preach" on Y/A think about the after life?
Surely your belief would be so strong you'd know there is an after life to simply shrug off their statements than waste YOUR time and trouble to type this question?
It is just such a stupid question, I'm actually laughing or perhaps I am because I'm quite drunk today.

You say that it is wasting time - but we would also counter that you waste time everyday of your lives bowing down to flase idols. Surely, it is every persons right to try and bring truth to each other (at the end of the day, why did Christianity rely on Missionaries to spread the 'truth'?).
How would it be illogical to spend time on here? I find myself trying to help people by answering all sorts of questions, not just religious based ones.
I know I would far rather devote my life to helping friends and family (whereby I can have a direct impact on their lives) rather than burying my head in the sand praying to an imaginary friend as I am too scared to think that what we have is all there is.
I am sorry if the reader finds this offensive, however, I found the tone of the question to also be offensive towards people (the majority as it happens in the UK) who chose to use reason, judgement and science in their lives and to not bow down to any particular 'Messiah'.

I'm no atheist, but its always fun and a good education sharpening one's wits engaging in conversation about serious matters. Atheists here do seem to throw mud pies at christians a lot though, rather than engaging in argument. There are some really interesting existential questions whatever you believe.

Why choose the world when the world will perish at the end? Personally, I think the statement of negatively was misworded. I beleive that some people do act negative against GOD. How can we all live in one place with peace and respect? Be proactive and change this world into a better place for all of us.

The ones who face oblivion are the unrepentant, which could be either a whole lot of folks or just a few, depending on how God's mercy is applied.
My personal feeling is that God is a kind and loving father who will not condemn anyone to eternal damnation, or as you called it,oblivion, unless that individual is completely and irrevocably unrepentant.
There are no Atheists in foxholes. Or emergency rooms. Or hospices.

I do not push my beliefs on any one else, unlike all religions on this planet and the people I have to thank for that are my Mum and Dad, who have always told us that you will find your own path in this life, but that this is the only one you get given so make the most of it, because once its gone that's it, game over.
If you think other wise so be it that's up to you, but please do not call me perverted or strange, I think it strange and perverted that other people preach peace and harmony whilst slaughtering Innocent people in the name of some one call God.

to your question about "why do negative...?" I'll tell you this.
It's a commandment, the reason because they are, they come from and the Will be.
those you call positives, they shall do the same. Everybody does what they have to do: Positives, they create incessantly, the negatives they destroy, the same. It's an eternal law.

First, atheists do not think negatively. Most atheists are very happy and think very positively. Second, atheists don't "preach", religious people preach. Atheists don't care about "converting" people, because atheism isn't a religion. (Religious people have a very difficult time understanding that, because they only think in terms of religion.) Third, I do spend a lot of time doing wonderful things with my life, and cherish every moment I have. I come on here sometimes because I feel like it. I don't watch TV much, because it bores me, so while my kids are napping, and after they go to bed, sometimes I come on here. Right now I'm waiting for my laundry to finish. Asking that is as silly as it would be for me to ask you why, since your soul in constantly in so much danger of being condemned to eternal damnation, are you spending time on here instead of in church?
