People change so much as they grow--especially during those years and the years that follow. While I do think it is possible--my boyfriends parents met when they were 16 and have been married for 35 years--I do think people are more likely to regret it than not. To never have lived on your own, payed your own bills, found your own voice and independence is something to regret. And if you don't discover who you really are before you're married, who knows where you'll go to discover yourself after your married.

When I was with my first boyfriend I was sure I was going to marry him. We were to gether for 3 years. But the minute I left home for college, he completely changed! It was fustrating. You know if you put an obstacle in front of two people you will really see if they are ready! REALLY! It doesnt matter what age you are---you can have your true love and one and only love---but determing that requires patience and the ability to see beyond what is already there in front of you.

Um, even though they may like to get married so young is just not right. I think that they need to wait until they are maybe just a little older. I am far from ready to get married and I am a lot older then them. What do you think about that?

Really rare to find, small possibilities to last ( personalities change at this age) but extremely romantic and so magic. I like it ! Life should not be a programm buta dream like the event you describe. It is a pity that we are not all so lucky. Good luck to them and all my wishes for an ever-lasting passion and love.

I THINK THAT IS COMPLETELY FINE.... I FOUND MINE IN 8TH GRADE.... AND WE ARE PLANNING ON GETTING MARRIED AND SPENDING THE REST OF OUR LIVES TOGETHER... SO YES FINDING YOUR SOULMATE IN HIGH SCHOOL OR WHENEVER IS ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE!!!!!!! NO ONE CAN TELL YOU WHO TO LOVE OR THAT IT WONT WORK OR WHATEVER..... ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE AND IT IS HOW COMPATIBLE THE TWO OF YOU ARE AND THE LOVE THAT YOU HAVE FOR EACH OTHER...... IM NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO THE STATISTIC OF "OH ONLY SO AND SO % OF HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS MAKE IT" I WONT FOLLOW THE STATISTIC I'LL BE A STATISTIC AND SHOW THAT IT CAN BE DONE... I WISH THEM THE BEST..!!!

You can but you shouldn't. There is so much of life that they will miss out on. I'm really thankful I didn't get married until I was in my 30s. By then I had done everything I wanted and was REALLY READY to settle down.

Congrats to them....though, it doesn't work that way for some people. Highschool people are immature.
