Morel are a great earthy tasting mushroom. they are best found in fall when it is very rainy and after the warm weather. In the midwest i don't know where you would be able to buy them, if you have farmers markets near by, or Fungi shops near by, that would be the best place to look.
i also believe you can buy them dried, and sometime found in regular or specialty grocery stores.

I hope by "find" you mean find a place to buy. Do not ever eat a mushroom that you find outdoors. Many contain deadly poisons with no known antidote and look so similar to non-poisionous types that they can fool experts.
