Has anyone tried it? What was the result?

You can, but it tastes better when you use pudding. The texture is not the same as the name brand products when you use hot chocolate/hot cocoa. It truely become a fudgesicle when you use pudding.

Yes, assuming you're aiming to get something like a Fudgesicle. Remember, though, if you want a consistency that is not rock hard you'll need to do an initial freeze until it's partially frozen (somewhat harder than a slush), then mash it up (a potato masher works well) and return it to the freezer with your sticks in place for a second freeze.

To get the process started more quickly, dissolve the hot chocolate mix in a minimal amount of hot water. Then stir in cold water to the final volume.

Yes, but use a milk with a high fat content if you want them to come out like fudgecilces
