Why is my male Zebra Finch losing feathers on his head?

His poo is gooey but his beak is bright red. His mate is Bino and she is very healthy. Rebel sn't getting picked on, he picks on Bino But when shes not with him he makes these quiet little chirps. They eat Forti-Diet finch food.

You bird may be sick if his poop is gooey. Abnormal stools are a good sign. Birds are vulnerable and hide sickness very well. Or it may not be sick, and if its losing feathers on his head, he might be molting. Molting means the birds feathers fall out and new ones grow in. He might be getting lonely without the other bird. He might be bored. They tell you to change your birds toys every month, because they get bored easy. Either way, those could be SOME indications. If his stool continues to look abnormal, take him to a vet, and have him checked out. Dont wait if possible, because waiting may turn into too late.

generally it might want to sound like your chicken is molting....yet when its poo is gooey, i might want to take him to a vet immediately. bear in mind birds are weak, and disguise ailment all top. also, take the birds, and once you've yet another cage, placed the only in a distinct room and quarantine them, if its a respitory an infection, the different chicken can seize it. Take it to the vet, and performance him checked...Dont wait, because in case you wait, it might want to be too overdue.
