I have very minimal knowlege of Excel and need an online couse with step by step directions/samples that I can follow.

I liken Excel to a robot, it does exactly what you tell it to, so the best part is understanding how it thinks that you are thinking.
for example, if you number one cell 1, then the next one down 2 then grab the far bottom right corner of the second cell, and drag down, it will assume you want to continue the pattern and will keep numbering for you...
It's handy as heck and the more you learn the more you will try to do, AND SUCCEED! It's a good program, and capable of a lot. Another bit of advice, what ever tutorial you are doing, right click on the toolbar in your excel and select the toolbar that goes along with what you are doing. I.e. Auditing...
